Project
Nepal is
a land-locked country that depends on its
agricultural products and on its natural
resources for the production of handicrafts
to remain independent. Handicrafts are the
prominent products of Nepal as they provide
a good value added percentage. In remote
area are poor and disadvantaged people who
rarely get access to vocational and
technical skills training. The country's
economy is still predominantly based on
agriculture, which is heavily dependent on
the monsoon
Even the
skilled workers graduate from the school,
face a problem of lack of jobs. Rescue
Mission? volunteers will be a mediator for
Community-based training and short time
handicrafts and as well as a vocational
training will be available for the less
educated and those living in remote areas.
We provide encourage to join the short term
courses thus making them accessible to more
trainees.
"Nepal's
slow growth in recent years, high
unemployment rate, and large proportion of
the population is making the people live
below the poverty line. The majority of
Nepal's population lack access to the
internet, telephones or electricity and
health care. Even the illiteracy rate is
high. Those who are graduating with
education in fields such as technical school
do not wish to be factory workers and often
leave to work abroad. If they work in Nepal
and apply their skills to the appropriate
fields then, they can earn about ten
thousands Rupees per month as skilled
laborers that would help their country as
well.
Rescue
Mission acts as a mediator for reliable
sources for laborers to learn the skills and
provides training and processing techniques
for small scale handicrafts and replicates
low cost training. We are dedicated to
encourage people for capacity building
training on community and are committed to
the daily task of training others, passing
our skills and demonstrating our values to
individuals and to the nation as a whole.
